Marcello Borges, Sales Business Development Manager for IPTV in LatAm, Cisco
Marcello Borges is graduated as System Analyst by PUCCAMP and has a MBA degree in Enterprise Management by FGV-BI. He has been working with IPTV business development in LATAM since 2004 supporting trials, showcases, conferences, trainings and worked in companies like Lucent Technologies and OnDemand Group.
Frédéric Maymil, Product Marketing Manager, Thomson
Frederic Maymil is responsible for the product marketing of the Thomson SmartVision TV video service platform for IPTV, cable and video on-demand solutions.
Prior to joining Thomson, Frederic held several positions in engineering, project management and product marketing both for Telecom operators and Telecom Manufacturers (Newbridge Networks, Alcatel, Orange-Equant). Frederic has been working on many flavors of DSL technologies and most broadband applications since 1997.
Frederic focused his activities on Video and IPTV when joining Thales Broadcast & Multimedia in 2003 to promote the SmartVision Service Platform (a worldwide IPTV leading platform), as pre-Sales Manager and Business developer.
Jacques Bourgninaud, President & CEO, Wyplay
Jacques has worked as Vice-President Finance and Operations in the Satellite DVB box market from 2002 to 2006, where he also managed the creation of a Chinese subsidiary and its development. Prior to that, Jacques gathered twelve years of experience in financial and administration management, accounting, fund raising, and consolidation in various sectors. Jacques holds a Master’s degree in Service Activities Management and a Master in Accounting and financial Techniques from Aix en Provence University.
Thierry Fautier, Director of Telco Solutions, Harmonic Inc.
Thierry Fautier is Director of Telco Solutions at Harmonic Inc., responsible for IPTV market development. Before joining Harmonic, he was Vice President of Marketing for Vsofts and held various positions at Philips. Mr. Fautier was one of the primary drivers at Philips in the creation of MPEG technology and in the development of MPEG-2 STB system on a chip solutions. An experienced speaker, he has presented at several industry conferences throughout the world.
Mr. Alvaro T. Gazzolo, President and CEO, IPTV Americas
Mr. Gazzolo, the founder of IPTV Americas, has given the Telecommunications and Cable Operators in Latin America a satellite solution to offer triple play with their present network infrastructure that considerably improves the Time to Market their IPTV or Digital Cable service. The services consist of a bundle of top 80 video signals in Latin America. In addition, IPTV Americas provides a complete technical solution including the STB, Middleware and Conditional Access to reduce the Operators’ cost of providing IPTV or Digital Cable services to customers. Mr. Gazzolo is one of the few executives that have all around knowledge of the IPTV market in the world: from the content, operators’ infrastructure, the technology required and regulatory issues for deployment of IPTV services in the Region. With numerous international conference appearances worldwide: IBC Amsterdam, National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), IPTV World Forum, Broadband World Forum, Informa (telecom & media) and many others, Mr. Gazzolo is well known and respected in the IPTV & Satellite market.
Mr. Gazzolo was instrumental and one of the original key executives (General Manager Latin America & Sr. Corporate Vice-President for Europe, Latin America, Middle-East, Africa and Euro-Asia and member of the Executive Team of PanAmSat.) in PanAmSat’s early marketing, sales and regulatory efforts following the 1988 launch of the first satellite until 2001. He developed the largest content distribution channel for Cable-TV and DTH in Latin America.
Mr. Gazzolo holds a M.Sc. and B.Sc. (Honors) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from London and Cambridge University.
