He founded Widevine Technologies in May 1999 and subsequently raised over $62 million in venture financing. Baker is Widevine's primary interface to the major motion picture studios and broadcasters. During his tenure, Widevine has emerged into the world's most deployed content protection system for telecommunication video services.Prior to the creation of Widevine, Baker held a business development position at Advanced Radio Technologies, a developer of microwave broadband technologies and services.
