Edmundo Poggio, General Manager of Strategy and Technology Development, Telecom Argentina

Edmundo Poggio joined Telecom Argentina in 1990 as a member of the Advisory Committee that handled the company take-over. Since 1991 he was responsible for different areas as Marketing Manager, Regulatory Affairs Director, Strategy Wholesale Services Director and General Manager of Wireline Business Unit.
Since January 2006 he was appointed as General Manager of Strategy and Technology Development.

Prior to Telecom Argentina, Mr. Poggio was at the SADE Group, where he lead different telecommunications projects until 1986, before his appointment as General Manager of Micro Sistemas SA. Under his management Micro Sistemas became Argentina’s second computer company.

Mr. Poggio began his career in 1972 after graduating as a Telecommunications Engineer at the University of La Plata, Argentina. Between 1972 and 1976 he performed several activities as a scientific researcher in hardware and software design.
