Luis Goicouria, VP Digital Media, MTV Networks Latin America
Luis Goicouria is Vice President of Digital Media for MTV Networks Latin America, in charge of overseeing the company’s New Media division. In this role, Goicouria oversees all the strategic and operational aspects of interactive digital media, to ensure the integration and expansion of both online and mobile businesses.

 

He also leads the development and distribution of proprietary digital content for MTV Networks’ brands across Latin America. 

Under his leadership, Goicouria has taken MTVNLA’s new media business to the next level, creating new trends in the market with the introduction of several innovative services. In 2005, Goicouria sealed deals with Mexico’s leading telecom provider Avantel to launch MTVRevolution.com, the first online site created exclusively for broadband users in Mexico. This year Goicouria unleashed AdiosGarage.com, a new platform that offers local bands the opportunity to showcase their music and generate fans from across the region. AdiosGarage.com spawned over 500 musician entries in the first week and has garnered sponsorship from Motorola since its debut. In May 2006, Goicouria introduced the first-ever social marketing network in Latin America with the launch of LaZona.com, which currently features over 40,000 profiles users.

Prior to this position, Goicouria served as Senior Director of New Media for MTV Networks Latin America, and was in charge of developing and executing the company’s new media strategies throughout the region.  In this position, Goicouria developed MTV, Nickelodeon and VH1's online properties, and MTV Latin America's groundbreaking 3-year alliance with Motorola, which extended the reach of premium MTV content to mobile users in Latin America.
