Junction, the leading digital technology events specialist, has set up its new Asia Pacific office in Shanghai, it was announced today.

Shanghai was chosen because of its status as a growing commercial and financial centre in China, and its close proximity to the IPTV World forum Asia event.

The new office, will strive to support Junction’s conferences in the Asia Pacific region, develop further links with Asian based companies and media and to continue the companies expansion into the Asian market.

Ian Johnson, Managing Director commented, “We are delighted to open a new office serving the Asian marketplace. The region is one of the most rapidly growing IPTV markets, and the appetite for new technologies and innovation in the region made it important for Junction to set up offices there. This will give us a good base from which to build new partnerships in the region.”

Shanghai will also play host to the IPTV World Forum Asia (www.iptv-asia.net) on the 27th, 28th and 29th September at the International Convention Center, Oriental Riverside Hotel.

The event is part of the leading IPTV World Series (www.iptvworldseries.com) with events also planned for Rio de Janeiro, London, Prague and North America in 2007.
